DeXe DAO August Update

As we continue developing the DeXe Protocol, our contributors and the community in general have a lot to do. New commits are getting added to our GitHub and the development process is transitioning even more from creation to fine-tuning.

As such, it was no surprise to see a proposal — suggested, voted on, and executed — for independent audits of our smart contracts. Already, two such audits have been done, one by Ambisafe and the other by Hacken. Each security firm has its own experts and tools, so it was important to test for vulnerabilities with multiple sets of expert eyes.

Just like in July, we continued hosting DeXe’s DAO Talk Twitter Spaces with some very interesting guests:

  1. Our August DAO talks started off with Eyal of DeepDAO, a DAO dashboard that makes understanding what’s happening in the DAO world a lot easier.
  2. We then had our first panel featuring a couple of familiar voices: Ben West of Gitcoin Grants and Deepa Chaudhary of Impact DAO (plus a surprise guest). It went so well that we’re planning a whole series of panels for September!
  3. Next, Crews Enochs from the legendary Index Coop stopped by to share their journey and approaches to DAO governance.
  4. That was followed by an absolutely delightful conversation with Sarah Hodsdon, one where we had a lot of fun discussing how DAOs can embrace creators (and vice versa).

All our live spaces are available on YouTube, Apple Podcasts, and Spotify via this link. We’re also continuing to publish a daily DAO Digest to catch you up with the latest news, proposals, and trends (announced here every Thursday).

DeXe has launched another quest on Zealy for active community members with a passion for DeXe and a bit of a competitive spirit. Comes with a nice prize pool too.

Last but certainly not least, DeXe contributors continue sharing their DAO journeys in various publications. For example, Dmytro Kotliarov wrote two pieces on Hackernoon (one with tips for new DAO creators and one discussing various legal frameworks for DAOs), plus one on Speka (in Ukrainian) about launching DAOs.

Expect even more activity next month. So see you in September in the live space audience, community activities, and in any other way you want to interact with DeXe!

Stay tuned!
