State of the DAOs — April 18th

Big bump in DAO treasury funds ($3B) but a smaller one in new members (44k). The rise in the price of ETH is not hurting either.

DAO News

Aave’s v3 now has risk steward roles for smart contracts. Let’s see if contracts do a better job than humans have done.

Olympus DAO’s new treasury strategy recommends maximum protocol exposure of 60%, as well as an asset mix of 75% stable and 25 volatile asset combinations.

Gitcoin’s community voted to create a trading card game that explains DAO terms and promotes the core values of Gitcoin and regen finance.

Uniswap v3 launched on Polygon’s zkEVM to make sure Uniswap remains the top AMM.

Less than a month after its token drop, Arbitrum has more than 5 million users.

DAO Proposals

This week’s sole high-importance proposal is an important one as it’s about Bancor releasing Carbon, a decentralized protocol for asymmetric liquidity and trading, on Ethereum mainnet. Carbon is meant to become Bancor’s main product offering.

There are 23 each of medium and low importance proposals active this week from such varied ones as Maker DAO, ApeCoin DAO, and the recently hacked Euler DAO.

From the breakdown, it’s clear that the focus is on the team and on defining DAO parameters, both fundamentally important steps for DAOs to find their footing and follow their missions.

Most Active DAOs

Once again, Iwan held the top spot by the number of proposals. This seems to be the week of the lesser-known DAOs producing the most activity. The Top 5 is:

  • Iwan
  • PancakeSwap
  • 2021eth
  • NFT Finance
  • Spaceman NFTs

DAO member rewards

DYOR is not just a way to CYA. Hunters for the SUI airdrop now have two reasons to be disappointed:

1) The “guide” to setting up a SUI node in hopes of someday receiving upwards of $10,000 in SUI tokens was not only badly written but useless as node runners have long been selected and rewarded.

2) SUI’s CEO very strongly spoke out against any possibility of a drop on Twitter.

*NOTE: DeXe DAO does not endorse any of the above projects or promote airdrop farming. We just hope the airdrop will properly incentivize readers to actively and usefully contribute to DAOs.

Stay tuned!
