DAO treasuries are falling for yet another week, losing $1.8M. Membership is only slightly up. On the other hand, member involvement is up with 31.8% now being active members and with 2.2% DAOs now having 100+ members. Maybe this means that there are fewer nonsensical DAOs now.

DAO News

In proof that DAOs can be very profitable, Arbitrum DAO has already earned 3,350 ETH ($6.2M) in transaction revenue.

Raise a hat to white hat hackers who recovered $5.5M out of $7M stolen from DeusDAO.

BitDAO is proposing to get rid of the BIT token to unite everything under its Mantle product.

In an ideal world, DAOs are their own global legal network. But at this point, national regulations still have to be reckoned with. Hence, Aragon is taking measures to be compliant with Swiss regulations.

MakerDAO has an Endgame now — and it’s an interesting read for other DAOs to learn about possible paths for greater decentralization and better organized governance.

Curing cancer is notoriously hard. So decentralizing oncology may be able to help collab better on cures and treatments.

Researchers in Singapore designed what they believe to be a more efficient DAO voting scheme. It includes a “betting mechanism: each member could choose whether to bet on any proposals with a certain number of their tokens.”

Not everyone is a fan of decentralization. BitMEX cofounder believes consumers care more about convenience than decentralization. Agree/disagree? Comment with your thoughts.

DAO Proposals

No high-importance proposals this week, just 27 medium and 36 low-importance ones. Index Coop, Decentraland, MakerDAO, and Aave all have multiple proposals active.

Most proposals concern Team (32) and Parameters (22).

Most Active DAOs

The Top 5 by proposal activity is again topped by Iwan (with their frequent weight-logging proposals).

Most Active DAOs:

  • Iwan
  • Pao Pao
  • guodanpi
  • 2021eth
  • PancakeSwap
